The Queen inserted her message into the baton during a ceremony held at Buckingham Palace, London, England, today 9th October 2013, to launch the journey of the baton across the Commonwealth.
Queen's Baton Relay
The baton, which contains the Queen’s hand-written message, will travel over the next 288 days to the 70 Commonwealth nations and territories competing in the 2014 Glasgow Games – Asia, Oceania, Africa, North and South America and the Caribbean.

We are in the process of making plans for the arrival of the baton, which will be in Anguilla from the 30 March to 2 April 2014.  We await its arrival with great excitement and intend to share this memorable occasion with as many people as we can, be it Anguillians or visitors.
